ACSF Adds Three to Board of Governors, Names Todd Weeber Vice Chair

Washington, DC, July 24, 2020 – The Air Charter Safety Foundation (acsfdev.com) is pleased to announce the election of three veteran aviation industry professionals to the ACSF’s Board of Governors. Effective immediately, Todd Weeber, Bill Kolstad, and Ryan Waguespack will join the current board members as they help guide the rapidly expanding ACSF organization in pursuit of its goals. Weeber was also named the ACSF’s Vice Chairman for the 2020-2021 term. The announcement of the election was made by ACSF President Bryan Burns, following the ACSF’s July 16 board meeting.

ACSF President Bryan Burns praised the election of the three aviation professionals, noting that their broad and lengthy experience in the industry will serve the ACSF well as it moves ahead with its safety-focused mission. “We’re very fortunate indeed to have Todd, Bill and Ryan joining us at precisely this time in the ACSF’s growth. Our membership is expanding exponentially over the past few years, and, likewise, we need to broaden and expand the service our board members bring to this organization and its members. I’m very, very optimistic about this opportunity and direction.”

Todd Weeber’s aviation career spans 30-plus years of increasingly challenging senior roles in a variety of aviation organizations. Since 2017, he has been the Chief Operating Officer of Magellan Jets, in Quincy, Massachusetts. Previously, at NetJets, in Columbus, Ohio, Weeber began as NetJets’ aircraft Captain and was promoted to Vice President of Operational and Quality Standards. While at NetJets, he founded the NetJets Family Foundation, and served as its President and a board member. For three years, Weeber served as Treasurer and a board member of the Ohio Aviation Association.

Bill Kolstad, the Director of Safety for Northern Jet Management, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has many decades of broad experience in aviation. During his 26-year career in the U.S. Air Force, he served as a heavy maintenance aircraft mechanic and safety officer. Additionally, he served as an instructor flight engineer on the E-3 Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AWACS). Later, Kolstad served as the Director of Safety & Security for RavnAir Group, based in Anchorage, Alaska. He has played a critical management role with Northern Jet Management for the past three years.

Ryan Waguespack, Senior Vice President for the National Air Transportation Association (NATA), leads the association’s Safety 1st, membership, workforce development, air charter, and maintenance programs and initiatives. Prior to joining NATA, Waguespack served as the Chair of its Workforce Development Committee and Illegal Charter Task Force, as well as the Vice Chair of its Air Charter Committee. During that time, Waguespack served as Vice President of Business Development for Summit Aviation, based in Bozeman, MT. Waguespack also founded the Alabama Business Aviation Association, an organization dedicated to promoting the value of business aviation throughout the state.
