Washington, DC, June 30, 2016 — The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) is pleased to announce the selection of Joseph Salata, vice president of flight operations for Flight Options, as the new ACSF Chairman, and Dennis Fox, Senior Vice President of Operations at Executive Jet Management (EJM), beginning July 1, 2016. Salata succeeds Greg Kinsella, base president – Washington, DC of Jet Linx whose term expires June 30, 2016.
Joe Salata is the Vice President of Flight Operations for Flight Options LLC, the second largest fractional in the US. He has over 32 years of aviation leadership experience and is retired officer from the US Air Force after a 20 year career as a fighter pilot.
Prior to joining Flight Options, Joe served as a USAF officer and fighter pilot with a career that culminated in a tour as the Operations Officer of the 8th Fighter Squadron “Black Sheep”, and then a tour as the Squadron Commander of the 9th Fighter Squadron “Flying Knights”, which were the nation’s only two F-117 Stealth Fighter squadrons. Joe’s military decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Bronze Star. Joe had combat tours including Operation Desert Storm and Operation Allied Force. His qualifications included the F-111, F-4, A-7, AT-38, and F-117.
Joe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. Joe is an Airline Transport Pilot and has type ratings in four different aircraft, and is currently qualified in the Gulfstream IV.
Dennis Fox has been with Executive Jet Management for 16 years; serving as the Director of Training for 10 years and the Senior Vice President of Operations for eight years. Dennis has been a member of the ACSF Board of Governors since June 2013 and is also a member of the NATA Air Charter Committee. Prior to Executive Jet Management, Dennis served in the US Army for 15 years where he flew Attack and Aeroscout helicopters.
