Washington, DC, August 20, 2021 — The Air Charter Safety Foundation (acsfdev.com), a non-profit aviation safety organization, welcomes is newest member, Baron Aviation Services (http://baron-aviation.com/) who will also participate in the ACSF’s Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP).
The Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) is a voluntary, self-reporting program that allows ACSF member companies the ability to identify and reduced possible flight safety concerns and mitigate risk. In cooperation with the FAA, the ACSF serves as a third-party manager of the ASAP for its members, including on-demand charter operators, fractional operators and Part 91 flight departments.
“We’re always striving to improve safety,” said Baron Aviation Service’s CEO Frank J. Zimmerman, CPA. “Having a safety management system that includes an Aviation Safety Action Program gives our employees the tools to be part of the safety process. Using ACSF and their safety management system (SMS) reporting system will allow us to capture more data to continuously monitor and improve safety.”
The ACSF’s President, Bryan Burns, is eager to welcome another cargo transportation company to the Foundation’s growing membership. “It doesn’t matter what type of operation you manage, a SMS helps operators run their entire business better—not just safety,” he noted. “And implementing an Aviation Safety Action Program will be a significant contributor to Baron Aviation’s SMS.”

About the ACSF
The Air Charter Safety Foundation is a non-profit organization with 265 member companies. Its mission is to lead and support the advancement of the highest safety standards available; to enable the business, charter and fractional ownership industry to offer the safest air transportation products in the world; and to provide objective information about these standards and services to the public. In accordance with its mission, the ACSF developed the Industry Audit Standard for Part 135 and 91K operators, which serves as a detailed gap analysis of an operator’s management practices. The ACSF also administers the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) in partnership with the FAA. The ASAP, which has nearly 200 participants, makes use of member employee input to identify significant safety concerns and issues, operational deficiencies, non-compliance with regulations, deviations from company policies and procedures, and unusual events. The ACSF hosts an annual Air Charter Safety Symposium, with information available at acsfdev.com/symposium.
