Custom Jet Charters Joins the ACSF’s Aviation Safety Action Program

Washington, DC, December 5, 2022 —Custom Jet Charters (flycjc.com), a luxury aviation company based in West Palm Beach, Florida, joins more than 220 aircraft operators participating in the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP). The ASAP is third-party managed by the Air Charter Safety Foundation (acsf.aero) in conjunction with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Lewis Liebert, Chief Executive Officer for Custom Jet Charters, is enthusiastic about his company’s decision to join both the Air Charter Safety Foundation and its ASAP. “At Custom Jet Charters, safety has always been a core value, so we are thrilled to participate in the Aviation Safety Action Program,” Liebert said. “We’re certain it will continue to help CJC improve upon our safety initiatives, and help ensure that our pilots and crew meet the highest standard of safety measures and awareness.”

Based in Washington, D.C., the ACSF provides aviation safety-related services and support for business aviation and the on-demand air charter industry. The Aviation Safety Action Program, a direct benefit of ACSF membership, is a voluntary, self-reporting program that enables ACSF member companies to identify and reduce possible flight safety concerns, as well as to mitigate risk. In cooperation with the FAA, the ACSF serves as a third-party manager of the ASAP for its members, including rotor wing operators, on-demand charter operators, fractional operators and corporate flight departments. The ACSF’s members represent more than 60 percent of all participating organizations in the ASAP program (including airlines).

“On behalf of the Foundation, I’m delighted that CJC is joining us,” said ACSF’s President Bryan Burns. “Both our ACSF and the ASAP offer solid opportunities to help ensure that we increase our safety-related vigilance and keep advancing the critical need for safety in every aspect of aviation operations. With our ACSF and ASAP participation continually expanding, we’re also expanding our knowledge of safety and our commitment to advancing it in all its many aspects.”

About the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF)

The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF.aero) is a non-profit organization with more than 350+ member companies. Its mission is to lead and support the advancement of the highest safety standards available; to enable the business, charter and fractional ownership industry to offer the safest air transportation products in the world; and to provide objective information about these standards and services to the public.

In accordance with its mission, the ACSF developed the Industry Audit Standard (IAS) for Part 135 and 91K operators, which serves as a detailed gap analysis of an operator’s management practices.
