Washington, DC, December 21, 2021 —The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF.aero) is pleased to announce the return of the ACSF Safety Symposium, to be held April 5-6, 2022, in Daytona Beach, Florida, on the campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU). The Symposium previously was held annually for 13 years, but had been suspended in 2020, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
ACSF President Bryan Burns said he is extremely pleased to announce the continuation of this important, aviation-safety-focused event. “The past few years have been extremely difficult for industry associations of any kind to host ‘live’ events,” Burns said. “However, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with ERAU to once again provide an in-person venue for the Symposium. We have an outstanding lineup of topics, presenters and academia that attendees won’t want to miss, and the ERAU campus is the perfect location to meet and network with our colleagues.”
In past years, the Symposium was held at the National Transportation Safety Board’s training center in Ashburn, Virginia. Over the years, the event has been described by many aviation industry attendees as one of the most important of its kind. One aviation company executive said of it: “It’s an outstanding, ‘pure’ safety event that’s put together by safety-minded professionals for safety-minded professionals. There are always outstanding speakers who bring about new ways to tackle age-old safety issues. It’s simply one of the best safety events on record.”
