Washington, DC, May 13, 2016 — The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) is pleased to announce that Reno Flying Service, Reno, Nevada is the newest company to join the ACSF. Along with 135 other companies, Reno Flying Service now supports the ACSF’s vision to enable on-demand air charter providers, corporate flight departments and fractional program managers to achieve the highest levels of safety in the aviation industry.
“Reno Flying Service (RFS) has been serving the aviation needs of Northern Nevada since the 1940’s. We are the only turboprop and jet charter service as well as full-service general aviation aircraft maintenance shop at the Reno Tahoe International Airport. Additionally, RFS offers flight instruction from private pilot through airline transport ratings,” said company President and CEO John Burruel.
Reno Flying Service is also in the process of joining the ACSF-managed aviation safety action program (ASAP). “By participating in ASAP, the company is promoting a positive safety culture and providing a near consequence-free environment, which will allow its employees to identify safety issues and report information that can be critical to identifying potential precursors to accidents,” said ACSF President Bryan Burns.
