Arkansas Children’s Hospital Joins ACSF Aviation Safety Action Program

The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) is pleased to announce that Arkansas Children’s Hospital has joined the ACSF Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), further strengthening its commitment to proactive safety management and a strong reporting culture within its Angel One aviation operations.

Arkansas Children’s Angel One Transport provides critical transport services supporting the care of pediatric patients throughout Arkansas and the surrounding region. By participating in ACSF’s ASAP program, the organization adds another important resource to its aviation safety efforts, providing aviation personnel with a voluntary, confidential and non-punitive process for identifying and reporting potential safety concerns.

“Safety is fundamental to everything we do at Angel One,” said Steven Rushin, CMTE, Director of Aviation Operations – Angel One, Arkansas Children’s Hospital. “Participating in the ACSF ASAP program gives our team another valuable way to identify potential risks, learn from everyday operations and continue strengthening the safety culture that supports our patients, crews and aviation operations.”

ASAP is a voluntary reporting program designed to improve aviation safety through the identification and resolution of potential safety issues before they lead to more serious events. Reports provide valuable operational insight that can help organizations identify trends, strengthen procedures and training, and make informed safety decisions.

“We are proud to welcome Arkansas Children’s Hospital and the Angel One team to the ACSF ASAP program,” said Debi Carpenter, President of the Air Charter Safety Foundation. “Organizations that encourage employees to speak up and share safety information create opportunities to learn and improve. Angel One’s participation demonstrates its commitment to continually strengthening safety throughout its aviation operation.”

Through ACSF’s third-party ASAP administration, participating organizations benefit from an established reporting framework and an independent process designed to support collaboration, learning and continuous safety improvement.

About the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF)

The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF.aero) is a non-profit organization with more than 360+ member companies. Its mission is to lead and support the advancement of the highest safety standards available; to enable the business, charter and fractional ownership industry to offer the safest air transportation products in the world; and to provide objective information about these standards and services to the public.

In accordance with its mission, the ACSF developed the Industry Audit Standard (IAS) for Part 135 and 91K operators, which serves as a detailed gap analysis of an operator’s management practices. ACSF members can also access the organization’s low-cost Safety Management System (SMS) Tool and Member Assistance Program (MAP), as well as take advantage of its third-party oversight programs: Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) and Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP).
