WASHINGTON, DC, April 29, 2024 – The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF.aero), a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to promote aviation safety among general and business aviation operators, has recently completed the Industry Audit Standard (IAS) for Flexjet, a global leader in private aviation.
Flexjet, a fractional jet operator with nearly 300 ultra-modern aircraft in its global fleet, was the first operator to obtain the Air Charter Safety Foundation’s IAS registry and has completed nine successful consecutive audits since then. In addition, Flexjet has achieved active conformance for the FAA’s SMS Voluntary Program – the highest level possible. They have also earned ARG/US Platinum Safety ratings seven times and recently received the FAA Diamond award for Aviation Maintenance Technician Training for the 25th time.
The ACSF Industry Audit Standard (IAS) serves as a comprehensive aviation audit for Part 135 and Part 91 aircraft operators. As suggested by its name, it stands as the most thorough industry audit available. It is specifically crafted for those aiming to exceed basic requirements and hold its operation to a higher standard.
ACSF’s IAS will help operators move closer to achieving such recognition by the FAA for their SMS programs. Bryan Burns, President, and CEO of the Air Charter Safety Foundation, commented on the rigorous audit process, stating, ‘Flexjet’s achievement in passing the IAS audit is a testament to their unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence. This level of compliance and best practices sets a benchmark for safety in the aviation industry. When passengers see the ACSF Audit-Registered seal on an operator’s website, they can be assured that they’re flying on a safe aircraft with a highly qualified crew that follows the latest standards from ICAO Annex 19 and FAA Part 5.”
“At Flexjet, safety is a top priority, and achieving these accolades requires our aircraft, flight, operations and safety divisions operate at the highest possible level, said Mike Silvestro, Flexjet Co-Chief Executive Officer. “For more than a decade, Flexjet has continued to requalify and earn safety and precision accolades in all areas of our business and seeing all of them combined brings pride to all of us for the work we do and how we do it.”
Flexjet boasts an impeccable safety record, coupled with their commitment to providing the highest level of service. Passing the IAS audit is another step-in upholding their cultures of safety and continuing to lead the industry in safety and excellence.
