Sun Air Jets Completes Sixth ACSF Industry Audit Standard & Extends Its IAS Registry Status

Washington, DC, December 7, 2021 —The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF.aero) is pleased to announce that Sun Air Jets, based in greater Los Angeles, California, has completed its sixth Industry Audit Standard and has renewed its status on the ACSF Industry Audit Standard (IAS) Registry until April 2023.

ACSF President Bryan Burns congratulated Sun Air Jets, noting, “Preparing for and passing the IAS audit is no easy feat, and having participated in the Industry Audit Standard over the past 12 years, Sun Air Jets is once again demonstrating its pledge to the highest standards of aviation safety.”

Since the ACSF launched the program in 2008, the IAS is the first and only extensive audit program specifically created for on-demand operators by a committee of Part 135 and 91K industry leaders. Audits are conducted every 24 months, and include an in-depth evaluation of regulatory compliance and the operator’s SMS program against both FAA and international standards. The IAS is available to Part 135 and Part 91 aviation organizations that are interested in going above and beyond the minimum audit standards.

“As longstanding members of the Air Charter Safety Foundation, we were very early adopters of the Industry Audit Standard and we’re proud to have achieved our sixth renewal on the registry,” said Sun Air Jets’ president and CEO Brian Counsil. “Our most recent audit findings will help our team improve our safety practices as well as our safety culture as we continuously strive to be the safest operation possible.”
