Alexandria, VA, March 17, 2014 — The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) is pleased to announce as its newest member McFarren Aviation Consulting (MAC), a consulting company that provides the general aviation industry with knowledgeable regulatory guidance, compliance assistance, and safety and security support. MAC is among more than 110 other businesses that support the ACSF’s vision to enable on-demand air charter providers and fractional program managers in achieving the highest levels of safety in the aviation industry.
“McFarren Aviation Consulting’s mission – to help the general aviation industry exceed regulatory requirements and implement industry best practices – is consistent with the ACSF mission.,” said Lindsey McFarren, President of MAC. “Accordingly, we are excited to be a part of the ACSF and of the support the Foundation offers our community.”
MAC offers assistance for Part 135 air carriers, fractional ownership program managers, and Part 91 flight departments in drafting and implementing Safety Management Systems, helps operators prepare for the ACSF Industry Audit Standard and the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) audits, and completes regulatory gap analyses. MAC has helped many operators evaluate, develop, and implement safety and security programs in a variety of unique operating environments.
“MAC believes that safety above and beyond what is considered regulatory is an absolute core value for their company,” noted ACSF President Bryan Burns. “We are pleased to welcome them as a foundation member.”
ACSF has developed the industry audit standard, an all-inclusive audit tailored for Part 135 and 91K operators that acts as a detailed gap analysis of an operator’s management practices. The audit program consists of a thorough review of an operator’s processes and procedures, regulatory compliance, and the operator’s implementation of and adherence to a safety management system (SMS).
