Ground Ops Safety Series: Ground Operations Working Group Advances Data Review and Policy Development

The Ground Operations Working Group has supplied data and procedures that are currently being analyzed and compiled by ACSF staff, which will be shared in full with the group at the June meeting. This information will provide the working group with an important baseline to help determine the biggest risk areas and areas of need. The goal is to ensure the group is working from a common, data-driven foundation as it begins to develop meaningful, targeted recommendations.


In addition, the group is reviewing and refining its first standardized policy recommendation, focused on in-range calls to FBOs. This is an encouraging early step, and the working group looks forward to sharing it with the broader membership once finalized.
